Creating Sustainable Change

Image
We start every newsletter with a thank-you to our supporters from around the world, including our Rotarian friends from Sustainable Cambodia Australia and Rotarians from all over the globe. Yes, we thank YOU! Because everything the village families are doing to improve their quality of life is made possible by YOU. The clean water, the healthy food grown for the kids, the education and sustainable income program... all made possible by what you do.

The Gainesville/Alachua community, together with the Rotary Club of Gainesville, is changing the lives of thousands of Cambodian children and their families. Clean water and sanitation, nutrition programs, and schools with over 3,500 students are cultivating healthy, educated young people who now have a hopeful future. And Sustainable Cambodia’s unique model is much more than “aid” - it empowers the villager families through sustainable economic development, education and training.

On April 26th, 2013, the Rotary Club of Gainesville and Sustainable Cambodia will be hosting the Cultivating Hope Event at the Rembert Farm in Alachua, FL.   Along with dinner, a silent auction and live music, this event will feature some of the brightest students in our Cambodian schools.   There will be video case studies and using Skype, you’ll be able to talk to our students teachers live from Cambodia.

Proceeds from this event will empower children and families with:
