The YouthLinc Team Visits Pursat!

Supporters like you, and Rotarians from around the world, are working through Sustainable Cambodia and Sustainable Cambodia Australia to help village families and children continually improve their quality of life, with healthy water, nutritious food, health care, education and sustainable income generation.

With your help, more than 330 wells are providing safe water, more than 3,000 students are currently enrolled in Sustainable Cambodia schools, and nearly 24,000 Cambodians have been able to change their lives for the better. None of this would be happening without supporters like you!

In this edition of the Cambodia Update, you'll hear how Youthlinc, an organization of young people, recently made a big impact on the lives of the children and families. We thank you all for your help with this work.

Youthlinc Volunteers Come to Pursat!

Youthlinc is a nonprofit organization dedicated to creating lifetime humanitarians by offering students and mentors local and international service experiences.

A Youthlinc team of 31 students and 11 mentors from Utah, in the USA, arrived at Sustainable Cambodia to tackle a major project. The project included almost every program at Sustainable Cambodia, from clean water and agriculture, to health, education, and empowerment in the rural villages.

Each Youthlinc student and each mentor chose activities to participate in during their 8-day-expedition in rural Pursat. These included building bio-sand water filters...

...and constructing a preschool and a library, along with a fence and gate...

... and constructing Rooftop Rainwater Harvesting globes...

... providing villagers with pass-on animals, agricultural tools and seeds, and first aid supplies...

... providing students with study materials (uniforms, school bags and supplies)...

... and giving bikes to students who are located far from school.

The Youthlinc team met the village families whose lives have been constantly transformed by their projects.

The Youthlinc team not only donated their money, clothes, medicines and supplies, but more importantly they donated their caring hearts to the children and families. And upon returning home, they have all individually sponsored a childor a university scholarship.

Thanks to the Youthlinc team for making this project happen! It is transformational for the rural villagers and children they have touched.
